After graduating in 1985 from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, he refines himself in Paris' most prestigious couture houses. He returns to Beirut to establish his own house of Haute Couture. He presents his first collection and quickly becomes a great success throughout the Arab world. He's consecrated designer of all the great ladies, princesses and first ladies in the Middle East.
At that moment, he decides to go back to his first love, Paris, where he presents his first collection at the Carroussel du Louvre in July 1997. And now comes his latest collection at the Intercontinental hotel beside Yves Saint Laurent.



Dany Trache

Dany Atrache, a French-Lebanese fashion designer, is considered one of the leading fashion trendsetters in the MEA. After working for 12 years in Paris with top French fashion houses including Dior, Montana and Torrente Uniforme, Dany decided to return to Lebanon with the goal of turning his fashion dreams into reality. His aspiration, creativity, ambition and hard work led to the launch of his own couture line in 2000. His stunning collection premiered at his first runway show in Beirut mesmerizing the audience with the exclusive designs. In no time, he was dressing the stars and celebrities of the Arab entertainment world with his unique and exquisite pieces.
Following his great success in Beirut, he expanded his shows to Paris where he hosted his first private fashion show in 2004. He continues to regularly present unforgettable collections during the famed Paris Haute Couture season.

In 2007, he expanded his line and launched his ready-to-wear collection, "D by Dany Atrache". Early this year, he inaugurated his first boutique located in Beirut. The boutique showcases a wide selection of ready- to- wear and a collection of trendy accessories.
In February 2009, Dany made his U.S debut where he showed his Spring/Summer 2009 collection at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. This latest collection harkens back to the 1970’s, resurrecting the hippie-chic look with astonishing graphic prints, bold colors and sheer fabrics married with lustrous embroidery.

Reem Acra

Born in Lebanon, Reem was introduced to the intricate world of art by her grandmother, who had a skilled hand for creating handmade silk flowers. According to her biography, Reem Acra studied design in both Paris and New York at the Esmod Ecole de Mode of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology, respectively, where she acquired several prestigious awards. After her studies and practical design experience, she returned to New York where her atelier quickly gained international recognition. Her collections are carried in more than 100 of the most exclusive retailers in the world including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue as well as her flagship Manhattan boutique.
As a wedding gown designer, Reem Acra began her career as an embroidery artist in New York. She launched her own bridal gown company in 1995 and has shot to the top in the bridal business. The luxurious silk satin and intricate beadwork has made Acra bridal gowns some of the most beautiful on the market.

Basil Soda

Basil soda opened his own fashion house in 2001 after benefiting from 20 years of experiences and exposure in the world of haute couture. Georges Hobeika

Georges Hobeika joined university as an architecture student eager to learn about art and design. Slowly but surely he found himself attracted to the world of fashion. His first experiences came through visits to his mother’s fashion workshop where he soon found himself creating and fabricating his own designs. His passion confirmed, and Georges flew to Paris in 1994 to hone his design skills at prestigious fashion houses such as Channel. In 1995 Georges returned to his homeland to create his haute couture label. This was soon followed with the opening of his fashion house comprising various specialized workshops fabricating evening gowns, wedding dresses and suits. Georges Hobeika’s first international defilé was in 2001 at the prestigious “Hotel K” in Paris. This was followed by yearly participation in the Paris fashion show and other major European events, including “Naples pour Amnesty International” in Italy, as well as “Caroussel du Louvres”, “Saint James et Albany”, “Ecole des Beaux Arts” and “Grand Hotel” in France. Prestigious figures such as Estelle Lefebure, Zoe Felix, Mia Frye, Cecilia Cara, Julie Depardieu, Elodie Gossuin, Romane Boringer and Judith Godreche embraced his creations. Georges Hobeika’s creations were also worn by models in five Chopard defilés.Today, the world of Georges Hobeika has grown to include boutiques in Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and the launch of his own brand of prêt a porter “OBK” high-end clothing for younger women with a modern, dynamic lifestyle.

Zuhair Murad

Zuhair Murad is a Beirut-based Lebanese fashion designer.
In 1995, Zuhair Murad opened his first atelier in Beirut and not long after has established a very high reputation in the international fashion scene. What began as a mere hobby soon turned into an empire of unique sophistication and revered fashion. "Ever since I was a child, I used to imagine designs for imaginary clients. I have always loved to work in the word of luxury and design...As my country in well known for its natural beauty...that expertise...made me fall into the world of haute couture," Murad has said <http://www.zuhairmurad.com.lb/>. His lavish creations, in sensational colors and extraordinary fabrics, are reminiscient of Egyptian princesses, Grecian goddesses and pure, glorious splendor, complete with an edgy twist that modernizes his collections just enough.
His extensive lines encompass haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories and eyewear. Plans to expand the fashion line are underway to include beauty products, perfumes, swimwear and lingerie as well as furnisher.
Two boutiques (including showrooms) have been established. The first in Beirut on Charles Helou Avenue and the second on rue Francois Ier in Paris. A showroom is also present in Milano on rue Borgogna.
Zuhair Murad, although still relatively new in the scene has already dressed the likes of Carrie Underwood,Ivana Trump, Kellie Pickler, Shakira, Christina Applegate, Vanessa Williams, Ana Ortiz and many more. Most recently, Miley Cyrus was seen wearing one of his creations at the Academy Awards.

Georges Chakra






Georges Chakra was born and raised in Lebanon. Now that his name is known worldwide, one might assume that Chakra immediately studied fashion, since his skill is so obvious, and especially that it is also known that that he did develop an early interest in fashion. But no, G. Chakra first followed 2 years in the Interior Design field, in Lebanon. Nevertheless, feeling that it was not what he exactly wanted to work in later on, he eventually travelled to Canada, and achieved a Degree in Fashion Design from the “Canadian Fashion Academy”.
In 1985, he came back to Lebanon as a fresh 22 year old graduate, and opened his first couture house. He started working locally, and would never have guessed that his creations would end up being worn by Actresses like Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, and many others…
Chakra carried on, and in 1994, he was able to launch his brand “ONNA Group”, which is still expanding.
In 2001, G. Chakra exposed his collection abroad, at Paris’s “Haute Couture Fashion Week” .It was a success, and Georges Chakra has been showing his creations there twice a year, ever since.One can also indulge in admiring his creations in the movie titeled:”The Devil Wears Prada”, which was released in 2006, starring Meryl Streep.
It is known that G. Chakra likes to take risks in every new collection, and that he enjoys the fact of facing a challenge at every fashion season, with a clear goal: to create something different from the previous collection .This daringness, if one may say, makes his path full of upcoming fashion surprises. Hollywood celebrities understood all the potential of such bold creativity. Georges Chakra dresses actresses like Helen Mirren, Tyra Banks, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, Marcia Cross, and many others.
2007 saw the glorious opening of Chakras’ “ONNA Group” Showroom in Paris, near “Le Triangle d’Or”, alongside no other than…Dior, Lacroix, Valentino…
Georges Chakra always tries to respect the silhouette of the model, and his goad is to let it be seductive and self-confident, yet, also, innocent, highlighted by bright beautiful strong colors. In other words, to show the complexity of the feminine nature. It is clear that G. Chakra is a perfectionist, and his motto is to stress on the detail, because “Everything is in the detail”.Celebrities graced his Fall/Winter 2008-2009 Collection by showing up, like Actress Helen Mirren, Actor Forest Whitaker &wife.“ONNA Group”, now an International Couture Fashion House with luxurious products including accessories and footwear, launched it’s prêt-a couture Collection in July 2008.In September 2008, Georges Chakra chose the magical view at the Seine River in Paris, for his catwalk show.Actress Tyra Banks showed up at the “EMMY AWARDS” wearing a gown of his creation.Currently “ONNA Group” is launching a read-to-wear luxurious line, with more affordable prices.

Elie Saab




Elie Saab has become synonymous with luxury and modernism. A serious couturier with a powerful and unique vision, Saab takes luxury to its zenith, designs for a woman that are both dreamlike and elegant. Born in Beirut on the fourth of July, Saab’s interest in dressmaking started at the young age of 9. He spent much of his free time cutting patterns and drawing sketches for his sisters using his mother’s tablecloths and curtains. In 1982, Elie Saab opened his first atelier in Lebanon at the age of 18 with ten employees. He began designing luxurious evening gowns and exquisite wedding dresses. Saab quickly proved that his talent surpassed his age when he showed his first collection at the Casino Du Liban in Beirut. Garnering extensive media coverage, Saab’s astounding debut collection dazzled the Lebanese press, who instantly dubbed him the “precocious genius.” Saab’s prodigal talent for design and public renown fueled his career throughout the 1980’s. The Elie Saab couture house became a magnet for princesses clamoring to buy his lavish eveningwear. His successive couture collections were an enduring testament to his ability to innovate, as Saab showcased clothing that was always feminine and alluring on the runway.
